You are Valuable!

I Thessalonians 2:12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

Everyone needs encouragement at one time or another. We are to encourage one another of the faith to walk worthy before God. Worthy is the Greek word axiós, which means suitable, having worth that “matches” actual value. It comes from the root word aksíōs, which means weigh in, assigning the matching value (“worth-to-worth”); worthy, i.e. as the assessment in keeping with how something “weighs in” on God’s balance-scale of truth. God is the living truth; His word is truth! God who has called us unto His kingdom and glory expects us to mentor one another in the lifestyle that shows forth God’s glory. In other words, when you miss the mark, a brother in Christ is to help you get back on the right path. When a brother misses the mark, you are to help him get back on the right path. According to The Message Bible, we are to act like a father with his child, holding his hand, whispering encouragement, showing him step-by-step how to live well before God. How will you weigh in on God’s balance-scale today? Will you mentor as a father would or will you be the mentee today, needing encouragement and guidance? Whatever the case, you have the grace of God upon you to walk worthy before Him. You are valuable to God. Today and every day are days to bring value to God’s kingdom.

Prayer for Today:   Father, make me holy by your truth; teach me your word, which is truth. Help me to match value for value so that I may walk worthy before of You. In JESUS name, AMEN.
