Interference Needed

interference hitchens_pettigrew_jpg_size_xxlarge_letterboxMark 5:7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

Not everything that looks like gold is gold and not everyone who calls on the name of God is His.  Be aware of the company you keep.  There was a man possessed by an evil spirit.  When he saw Jesus afar off, he ran to meet Jesus and bowed before Him.  He shrieked and screamed out in fear, “Why are you interfering with me Jesus, Son of the Most High God?  In the name of God, I beg you, don’t torture me!” Notice, even the evil spirit (demon) cried out, “In the name of God”.  Did the demon belong to God? Certainly not.  Don’t be deceived.  Not everyone who says, “LORD, LORD” or use the name of God belongs to Him.  When Jesus asked the evil spirit his name, he replied, “Legion” because there were many of them on the inside of this man.  Jesus commanded the evil spirit to come out of him.  The man was later seen sitting and fully clothed and perfectly sane.  Evil company distorts good character.  Salvation found in the name of Jesus will help you to recognize those who are not good company and Holy Spirit will give you the strength to walk away from them that do not have your best interest at heart.   Jesus does not want to torment you.  He does, however, want to interfere in your life, but He won’t unless you invite Him to do so.  When asked to do so, He will surround you with His best.

Prayer for today:  Father, I invite you to interfere in my life.  Help me, I pray, to eliminate that which is evil and to cling to that which is good.   In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
