Talk to the Fierce Storms

Storm 400px-Marc_Fishman_across_the_seaMark 4:37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

In the fashion industry, the term fierce is often used to indicate something of exceptional quality.  When the great (fierce) storm arose, the disciples were well aware that they were encountering a great squall which was powerful, destructive, and extremely intense to the point that the wind caused the waves of the sea to fill the boat.  In life, there will be storms that will rise up against you.  The intensity of the storms may cause your faith to be shaken.  But do not despair.  God promised that He would be with you, strengthen you, help you, and hold you up with His victorious right hand.  Standing firmly on this promise will dispel fear and discouragement.  The disciples were afraid when the storm suddenly arose.  But know this, not all storms in life are sudden; some storms have been brewing for years even decades.  In times like these, do not allow yourself to become discouraged.  As Isaiah prophesied to the nation of Judah of God’s deliverance and salvation, we see Jesus’ deliverance and salvation of the disciples.  Jesus stood and with a very few words commanded the storm to be silent and to be still.  When the storms of life rock your world, have faith in God and command them to be still, break up and split.   Take authority over them and receive your victory from God’s mighty victorious right hand.

Prayer for today:  Father, a word from you will calm every storm.  I trust you to speak to the storms in my life and I am convinced that I will be victorious because of your righteous right hand.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
