To Ask or Not to Ask

Luke 1-35 The Holy Spirit shall come upon theeLuke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Mary asked the angel Gabriel a question seeking information.  She did not ask from a position of unbelief such as was the case with Zachariah.  Mary asked, “How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?”  God does not have a problem with you asking Him questions when you are seeking to know Him.  As a former classroom teacher, I always encouraged my students to ask questions if they did not understand.  God does not want His people to be ignorant or surprised.  This is what the LORD says, “Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come”.  He revealed the method and advent of Christ Jesus to Mary.  When you do not lean unto your own understanding and ask the LORD about things you do not know, He will reveal His plan to you.  Ask Him.  He will not be offended.

Prayer for today:  Father, I acknowledge that You are infinite and I am finite.  Show me and help me to understand what I am to do…  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
