To Believe or Not to Believe

luke1.37-660x371Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Six months after the angel Gabriel appeared to Zechariah, he appeared to Mary with a message from God.   When Gabriel informed Zechariah that he and his wife Elizabeth were going to have a child in their old age, he questioned Gabriel out of disbelief.  When the angel informed Mary that she was going to have a child and His name shall be Jesus, the Son of the Highest, she questioned the angel also.  But instead of unbelief, she readily accepted the message from God.  The nature of the conception was unorthodox.  But she received it by faith, knowing that God can do the impossible.  What’s the difference:  Zechariah was encumbered with unbelief while Mary believed.  When the LORD tells you of the blessings He has in store for you, will you believe or will you be encumbered with unbelief?

Prayer for today:  Father, I believe and I accept.  Be it unto me according to thy word.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.
