Expect to Succeed

Proverbs 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

One way to ensure that you will have success is to commit your works unto the LORD.  To commit is the Hebrew word galal (gaw-lal’), which means to roll, to trust, to seek occasion.  It does not matter the size of the workload.  When you seek the LORD for help and roll your work over on Him, you are affirming that you understand that you are limited in your natural abilities, but He is limitless.  You are affirming that you need Him and that you trust Him.  Committing all that you do so that God may be glorified gets His attention and persuades Him to impart His supernatural abilities to you.  When you do things the LORD’s way, you can expect to succeed.  Don’t go it alone.  Let the LORD advise and help you, for He knows just what to do.
