Underneath the Surface
II Corinthians 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
How ironic it is that the name of Microsoft’s tablet is the Surface. In the natural, you cannot see what is going on underneath the surface. So the focus tends to be on the programs that are visible. In the same way, when you are being insulted, or persecuted or falsely accused, there is a tendency to focus on the person, which you can physically see. Consider this: the person is not your problem; there is a battle going on under the surface. You are engaged in spiritual warfare. It is the spirit of your enemy, Satan, trying to kill, steal, or destroy your testimony. His goal is to cause you to get into offense and sin against your heavenly Father. But you are not ignorant of Satan’s schemes. God’s armor will fit you perfectly. Strap it on in its entirety and be alert and watchful so that you may recognize Satan and ruin his plans concerning you.
