The Court is Now in Session

Courtroom-USAIsaiah 30:1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

The LORD said, “Woe” expressing grief because His children were rebellious.  The court is now in session. The indictment is read:  His children carried out plans that were not His; they formed an alliance, but not by His Spirit, heaping sin upon sin.  They went down to Egypt but did not ask Him whether they should go.  They sought to strengthen themselves with Pharaoh’s protection.  They trusted in the covering of Egypt.  Now the judgement is read:  Pharaoh’s protection will fail them.  No advantage will be gained by being in Egypt.  Confusion, shame, disgrace, oppression, and hardships shall come upon them.  Psalms 1 tells us not to follow ungodly counsel nor hang out with sinners.  Jesus is the Counselor, protector and covering that should be sought in every situation.  Salvation is found in repentance, asking the LORD to counsel you and resting from rebellion.

Prayer for today:  Father, forgive me, counsel and strengthen me and turn my feet away from destruction.  In JESUS’ name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
