Faith: Your Push Back Shield

Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Worry, doubt and fear erode faith. Like the ocean water, when it comes ashore, it takes sand away, little by little. Worry, doubt and fear take away your faith in God, little by little. How do you stop this erosion? Rehearse past victories. David recalled that he had killed both a lion and a bear, not by His power but by the power of the living God. Therefore, his faith in God increased and he was confident that God would deliver Goliath into his hands as well. The more of the word of God and the believer’s faith in Him is activated, the stronger the push-back on the fiery darts of worry, doubt, and fear. In truth, your faith shield diminishes your enemies power until victory is achieved. Trust God by raising your shield of faith. God will protect you and see you through the rough patches in life as He has done on so many other occasions.

Prayer for today: Father, I raise my shield of faith. Thank you for the victory. In JESUS name, AMEN.
