Grace and Truth

Grace and TruthJohn 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Moses went into the mountains to meet with God.  He brought back what we call the Ten Commandments, the Law.  Jesus came from the Father and gave to us grace and truth.  That is not to say that the Law in the Old Testament was not truth because it was.  Both brought something back from the Father:  Moses brought back the Law, which condemns us because no man could keep the Law; Jesus brought unto us the abundant, fullness of grace (unearned, undeserved favor and spiritual blessings), which redeemed us from the Law.  He also brought to us the revelation of God, which is Truth.  Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: … If you had known Me [had learned to recognize Me] you would also have known My Father.  From now own, you know Him and have seen Him”.  Jesus is the source of grace and truth.  Anything or anyone else is a fraud.

Prayer for today:  Father, I thank you for grace and truth, which came by Jesus Christ to redeem me from the Law.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
