The Grace of Patience

quotes-about-when-youreJames 1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

So yesterday was not an exercise in patience.  Patience is a virtue, a fruit of the Spirit, a grace given to those who have been crucified with Christ.  Beloved, patience lives in you.  It grows by yielding to the will of God and the power of Holy Spirit.  Like any muscle in the body, patience must be exercised to be developed so that it may perform its perfect work.  The stronger the muscle, the greater the endurance.  Notice, James said, “Let patience have her perfect work…”  Without the strain of life, the testing of your faith, the transforming of your mind and the conforming to the image of Christ, patience cannot grow perfect in this grace.  As your patience grows, you will be in the process of becoming the person God designed, complete, and lacking nothing as you encounter the vicissitudes of life.  Let the grace of patience have her perfect work in you.

Prayer for today:  Father, thank you for the grace to be patience in every situation.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
