Comfort for the Comfortless

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Some people find comfort in comfort food; some find comfort in a bottle; while others attempt to find comfort in people.  Jesus promised to pray to the Father on your behalf and to not leave you comfortless.  Trust Jesus.  His prayers are always on point for He knows how to get a prayer through to the Father. Knowing that we will all need to be comforted in this life, Jesus asked the Father to send the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit to come and live with us and in us forever.  When your spirit is disquieted, seek the Comforter.  When you experience lack, seek the Comforter.  When trouble is raging on every side, seek the Comforter.  When all is well with you, maintain your comfort by seeking the Comforter.  You don’t have to be comfortless.  The world has not received the gift of God’s grace through Jesus Christ, but you have.  Therefore, Holy Spirit is with you and in you forever to comfort you.

Prayer for today:  Father, thank you for sending Holy Spirt to be my Comforter.  Thank you for His indwelling presence in my life.  In JESUS name, AMEN.
