Comfort from the Comforter

Comfort is a luxury afforded to everyone, but not many find it.  God did not intend for anyone to be left comfortless or abandoned.  Prior to Jesus’ departure, He promised His disciples that Father God would send them the Parakletos, the Comforter, to replace Him.  The conditions for receiving comfort from the Comforter are that you are in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that you love and obey Him. The Comforter is Holy Spirit, who will lead you into all truth, teach you all things that He has heard from the Father and bring those things to your remembrance.  In an hour of deep despair, we need to be reminded that comfort is ours to have.  Simply because of our personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we have the Comforter, Holy Spirit, living on the inside of us and we are never alone.  God’s favor and good-will give comfort in abundance to His own.

Prayer for today:   Father, thank you for Holy Spirit, who comforts me and reminds me that You never leave me alone to deal with the ups and downs of life.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
